The NEW YEAR CAMPAIGN Incentives

  1. Be a part of our Brand-New Passport Program for District 1 Success.
    1. By December 15th, the first 20 members that achieved five of ten Passport goals
      (including 2 required Passport goals), will receive TI Document Briefcase, item
      #6833 and will be provided a free Passport to the TLI in January 2019.
    2. By March 15th, the first 20 members that achieve nine out of ten Passport goals
      (including 4 Required Passport goals), will receive an Outstanding Membership
      pin, a $15 TI Gift Certificate, item(s) #6632A, and will be provided a free
      Passport/admittance to their Division Contest, and will be recognized at the
      Spring Conference.
  2. Enroll 5 New Members – July 1 – 31 and receive a $25 TI gift certificate (for the first 25 clubs). The Club VP Membership will receive the “One Team Award” Certificate at the District 1 Fall Business Meeting (or the Area Director will present at a club meeting).
    These five new members must be NEW members and not included in any other incentive.
  3. Start a New Club. Based on New members the first 10 clubs when chartered by September 30 will receive a New lectern (20+ members), New banner (23+ members), New banner stand (25 + members), and other new supplies (over 30 members), valued at up to $360. New Clubs will be recognized at the District 1 Fall Business Meeting (or the Area Director will present at a club meeting).
  4. Be a New Club Mentor, New Club Sponsor.
    1. Fall 2018. The first 10 clubs that become a Mentor or Sponsor prior to September 30th will receive a Toastmasters Mentor pin, 1163P, or Outstanding Member pin, item #1115C, and the “One Team Award” certificate.
    2. Spring 2019. The first 10 clubs that become a Mentor or Sponsor prior to September 30th will receive a Toastmasters Mentor pin, 1163P, or Outstanding Member pin, item #1115C, and the “One Team Award” certificate.
  5. Be a Club Coach. The first 20 District 1 assigned coaches, with their assigned club that successfully reaches Distinguished status by April 30, 2019 will receive a Toastmasters Coach pin from Toastmasters International and a Leaders are Made Tshirt, item #7086.
    The Club Coach will receive special recognition at the District 1 Spring May 18, 2019 Conference.
  6. New Fall 4 x 4 PQD & Club Growth Team Incentive – The first ten clubs that achieve 4 New Members enrolled prior to September 30 and 4 DCP goals achieved prior to September 30th will be award $50 TI gift certificate and recognized at the District 1 Fall Business Meeting. These four new members must be NEW members and not included in any other incentive.
  7. New Spring 8 x 8 PQD & Club Growth Team Incentive – The first twenty clubs that achieve 8 New Members enrolled prior to March 31 and 8 DCP goals achieved prior to March 31st will be award $50 TI gift certificate and recognized at the District 1 Spring 2019 Conference.
  8. Toastmasters International Smedley Award (Aug 1-Sep 30). The first 20 clubs that add five New, Dual, or Reinstated Members will receive a $50 TI gift certificate. These five new members must be NEW members and not included in any other incentive.
  9. Toastmasters International Talk Up Toastmasters (Jan 1-Mar 31). The first 20 clubs that add five New, Dual, or Reinstated Members will receive a $50 TI gift certificate, and recognition at the Division Spring Contest. These five new members must be NEW members and not included in any other incentive.
  10. Toastmasters International Beat the Clock (May 1-Jun 30). The first 30 clubs that adds five New, Dual, or Reinstated Members will receive a $25 TI gift certificate; or, the first 10 clubs that add ten New, Dual, or Reinstated Members and receive a $50 TI gift certificate; or the first 5 clubs that add 15 or more New, Dual, or Reinstated Members and receive a $75 TI gift certificate. Criteria is one Beat the Clock gift certificate per club. These new members must be NEW members and not included in any other incentive.
  11. Welcome New Members at Club Open House. The first ten clubs adding three new members at Open Houses held in each month of July, January, and April will receive $25 TI gift certificate. The Open House must be advertised on district1toastmasters.org and the new member names provided to the Club Growth Director for verification.
    These new members must be NEW members and not included in any other incentive.
  12. Membership Contest – End-of-Year (memberships added before June 30, 2019). The first five clubs that achieve all three of the three Toastmasters International Membership Building Contests (Smedley, TUT, Beat the Clock) they will receive a $150 TI gift certificate. The President and VP of Membership will receive a Triple Crown pin award. These new members must be NEW members and not included in any other incentive.
  13. Membership Contest – End-of-Year (memberships added before June 30, 2019). The first five clubs that achieve two of the three Toastmasters International Membership Building Contests (Smedley, TUT, Beat the Clock) will receive a $100 TI gift certificate.
    These new members must be NEW members and not included in any other incentive.
  14. DCP – Register and Train 7 New Club Officers at TLI.
    1. DCP – Register and Train 7 New Club Officers at TLI Fall 2018. The first 15 clubs that have all 7 of their club officers trained at TLI on July 7, 2018, will receive a set of 7 New club officer pins and Past President pin ($60 value, item #5801Z) or a $50 TI gift certificate, item(s) #6634. Pins will be awarded by the Area Director or District Leader, and a “One Team Award” certificate will be presented to the Club President.
    2. DCP – Register and Train 7 New Club Officers at TLI Spring 2018. The first 15 clubs that have all 7 of their club officers trained at TLI in January 2019, will receive a set of 7 New club officer pins and Past President pin ($60 value, item #5801Z) or a $50 TI gift certificate, item(s) #6634. Pins will be awarded by the Area Director or District Leader, and a “One Team Award” certificate will be presented to the Club President.
  15. DCP – Members that complete three Pathways. The first 20 members that achieve three Pathways levels by the District 1 Spring May 18, 2019 Conference, will be recognized from the lectern and receive the coveted Toastmasters Triple Crown pin award.
  16. DCP – Embracing Change and Distinguished with Pathways. The first 20 clubs that achieve Distinguished Club Status by March 31st with at least four Pathways educational goals (1-6) will receive $50 TI gift certificate, and the President will be recognized from the lectern at the District 1 Spring 2019 Conference and receive the “One Team Award” certificate.
  17. DCP – Embracing Change and Distinguished First Time with Pathways. The first 30 clubs that achieve Distinguished Club Status by March 31st and did not receive Distinguished status in the prior year(s) and have at least four Pathways educational goals (1-6) will receive $75 TI gift certificate, and the President will be recognized from the lectern at the District 1 Spring 2019 Conference and receive the “One Team Award” certificate.
    Incentive cannot be combined with the Embracing Change and Distinguished with Pathways incentive.
  18. DCP – Embracing Change and Committed to Pathways. Clubs that have 100% of their members that have identified a Path and have begun working a Path will receive a banner ribbon for “100% Members Embracing Pathways”.
  19. DCP – Club Success Plan Commitment Incentive. The first 40 clubs that submit the long version Club Success Plan, signed by all officers and a copy sent to their Area Director, by August 19th will receive $25 TI gift certificate.
    1. Club Success Plan Distinguished Incentive. The first 40 clubs that achieve Distinguished status, following the Club Success Plan, by April 30th will receive a $25 TI gift certificate, and a ribbon will be sent from Toastmasters International.
    2. Club Success Plan Distinguished with Under 12 Base Incentive. The first 40 clubs with a base with under 12 members from July 1, 2018, that achieve Distinguished status and following the Club Success Plan, by April 30th will receive an additional $25 TI gift certificate, and a ribbon will be sent from Toastmasters International.
  20. DCP – Rising to Greatness Incentive. The first ten clubs that are identified as suspended after October 2018 and become Distinguished by April 30th will receive $100 TI gift certificate, will be recognized at the District 1 Spring May 18, 2019 Conference, and the President will receive the “One Team Award” certificate.
  21. DCP – District 1 Reimburses for your Speakathon food. The first 20 clubs that host two one-hour (back-to-back) Speakathons, during July 1 – Sept 30th, the district will reimburse up to $25 for food. Additionally, the VP Education will be recognized by their Area Director, at a club meeting and awarded the “One Team Award” certificate.
    Criteria: This club hosted Speakathon must be advertised to their club membership with a minimum of five speaking spots per each one-hour Speakathon. All Speakathons must abide by guidelines in the Officer and District handbooks with documented written evaluations.

Distinguished Club Program (DCP) Leadership – Incentives

  1. DCP Leadership (DEC) – Area Directors (first 20) with first round of 100% officers trained by August 31st in their respective areas will receive free admission and lunch at TLI in January 2019, plus recognized from the lectern, and awarded the “One Team Award” certificate.
  2. DCP Leadership (DEC) – Area Directors (first 20) with second round of 100% officers trained by February 28th in their respective areas will receive free admission to their Division Contest, plus recognized in the front of the room by a Trio member and awarded the “One Team Award” certificate.
  3. DCP Leadership (DEC) – Division Directors (first 4) with first and second round in Fall and Spring with 100% officers trained by August 31st and February 28th in their respective Divisions will receive free admission to the District 1 Spring 2019 Conference, plus recognized from the lectern and awarded the “One Team Award” certificate.
