This four-hour workshop, conducted by Storyteller Barbara H. Clark, will provide you with the basics of becoming a working performer. While it will not send you away ready to tackle the world, it will provide answers to some fundamental questions, including:
- How do I get started?
- Who will hire me?
- Are there legal requirements?
- What will I get paid?
There is a big difference between someone who tells stories and a “professional storyteller.” This workshop might help you decide if you want to make that leap – before you quit your day job!
BARBARA H. CLARK has been a professional storyteller for more than 20 years, and has been conducting storytelling workshops for over 15 years. She also produces storytelling concerts, does private coaching, and is currently Artistic Director of the Ray G. Clark Theater at the Institute of Musical Arts in View Park.
