SMEDLEY SPRING SPRINT
PAID CLUBS
Pacemaker Challenge Any unpaid club or club with less than eight paid members, that pays prior dues, and renews a minimum of eight members through September 2021, by May 31 (extended from March 31), 2021, will receive a $100 TI Gift Certificate and a digital club banner from District 1.
MEMBERSHIP PAYMENTS
Membership Marathon EXPIRED The first 25 clubs that meet the qualifying requirement for a net growth of at least five new, dual, or reinstating members paid through September 2021, by March 31, 2021, will receive a $25 TI Gift Certificate from District 1.
DISTINGUISHED CLUBS
Ultramarathoner EXPIRED The first 25 clubs that achieve Distinguished or better for the first time*, as recorded on the Dashboard by May 15 (extended from May 1, to May 15), 2021 will receive from District 1:
—$50 TI Gift Certificate for achieving Distinguished Club status
—$75 TI Gift Certificate for achieving Select Distinguished Club status
—$100 TI Gift Certificate for achieving President’s Distinguished Club status
* First time in three years. This is for clubs who were not Distinguished or better in 2017-2018, 2018-2019, or 2019-2020.
CLUB INCENTIVES
NEW! Welcome New Members at Club Guest Event The first ten clubs with 12 or fewer members, that enroll or renew three or more new members through a Guest Event held March 1-May 31 (extended from March 31 to May 31), receive a $20 (increased from $10 to $20 per new member) TI Gift Certificate per member, from District 1. The Guest Event (Homecoming, Reunion, Workshop, Open House, etc.) must be communicated in advance to the Club Growth Director, and promoted on the District 1 website. Renewed or new members must be entered into Club Central by March 31. (Awards will be presented at the 2020-2021 awards event in August 2021.)
EXPIRED 100% Pathways Enrollment The first 25 clubs that attain 100% members enrolled in Pathways by May 1, 2021 (that had less than 100% enrolled as of February 1, 2021) will receive a $25 TI Gift Certificate from District 1.
EXPIRED Talk Up Toastmasters (Jan 1-Mar 31) The first 20 clubs that add five new, dual, or reinstated members, Feb 1 to Mar 31, 2021, will receive a $50 TI Gift Certificate from District 1, as well as a “Talk Up Toastmasters” ribbon and an online store discount from Toastmasters International.
(Member payments must be entered into Club Central from Jan 1 to Mar 31, 2021. New members must not be included in any other incentive, and transfer members do not count toward this incentive.)
Beat the Clock (May 1-Jun 30) The first 50 clubs that add five new, dual, or reinstated members, May 1 to June 30, 2021, will receive a $50 TI Gift Certificate from District 1, as well as a “Beat the Clock” ribbon and an online store discount from Toastmasters International.
(Member payments must be entered into Club Central from May 1 to June 30. New members must not be included in any other incentive, and transfer members do not count toward this incentive.)
Achieve Three of Three Membership Contests The first five clubs that achieve all three of the three TI Membership Building Contests (Smedley, TUT, Beat the Clock) will receive a $150 TI Gift Certificate from District 1.
Achieve Two of Three Membership Contests The first five clubs that achieve two of three TI Membership Building Contests (Smedley, TUT, Beat the Clock) will receive a $100 TI Gift Certificate from District 1.
EXPIRED Early Dues Renewal for Clubs The first 50 clubs that submit at least eight renewal payments by March 15, 2021, will receive a $25 TI Gift Certificate from District 1, and the club Treasurer will receive a specially curated Toastmasters Swag Bag! One Swag Bag per Treasurer.
EXPIRED Early Dues Renewal for Members Every District 1 member that renews their membership by March 15, 2021, will be mailed a first-time ever “Surprise Envelope” from District 1. Club Treasurer must process dues in Club Central by March 15, 2021. One Envelope per member.
EXPIRED Request a Club Coach Clubs with 12 or fewer members that request a Club Coach (submit request to Club Growth Director) by March 15, will receive a $25 TI Gift Certificate from District 1.
DISTINGUISHED CLUB PROGRAM INCENTIVES
NEW! Excellence in Club Leadership Any club achieving Distinguished or better for the third consecutive year, by June 30, 2021, will be honored by the club president receiving the Club President Award; plus all club members will receive a Where Leaders Are Made Pin. (Club must be on Dashboard records for achieving Distinguished or better for three consecutive years: 2018-2019, 2019-2020 and 2020-2021. Awards will be presented at the 2020-2021 awards event in August 2021.)
EXPIRED Club Success Plan Distinguished Results Any club that achieves Distinguished status or better by March 31, 2021, who submitted a Club Success Plan by August 31, 2020, will receive a $50 TI Gift Certificate from District 1, and a ribbon from Toastmasters International. (Clubs that achieved the July Challenge, submitting their Club Success Plan by July 31, 2020, can also earn this incentive if Distinguished or better by March 31, 2021.)
Distinguished Club by June 1, 2021 The first 15 clubs that are Distinguished by June 1, 2021, who did not participate in the Club Success Plan incentive, will receive a $25 TI Gift Certificate from District 1.
MEMBER INCENTIVES
Triple Crown Pin Any District 1 member that achieves three educational awards, July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021, will receive the Toastmasters Triple Crown Pin from District 1. (Name must be disclosed on Daily Report, and only one pin per person. Pins will be distributed at the 2020-2021 awards event in August 2021.)
NEW! DTM Medallion Award Any District 1 member that earns a Pathways or legacy Distinguished Toastmaster award, July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021, will receive a Toastmasters DTM Medallion from District 1. (Awards must be earned by June 30, 2021. One medallion per person. DTM Medallions will be given out during the Hall of Fame Ceremony at the Spring Conference, for DTMs earned prior to May 1, 2021. DTMs earned May 1-June 30, 2021, will be awarded at the 2020-2021 awards event in August 2021.)
NEW! Be a Club Coach Club Coaches whose club reaches Distinguished by June 1, 2021, will receive a special #IChooseIn T-Shirt, custom designed for District 1, plus a Toastmasters Coach Pin from Toastmasters International.
Sponsor Five or More New Members Any District 1 member who sponsors five or more new members July 1, 2020-June 30, 2021, will receive a Member Sponsor pin from Toastmasters International (a unique blue pin for five members, a unique burgundy pin for ten members, and for sponsoring 15 new members, the sponsor will qualify to receive a special discount code for 25% off the next product purchase from the Toastmasters Online Store. CLUB OFFICER TRAINING INCENTIVES
EXPIRED Be a Level Up Leader! The first 50 club officers that complete a Pathways Level between March 1 and May 1 will receive a “Level Up Leader” Award. For completion of Levels 1, 2 or 3, officers are awarded the “Level Up Leader” Silver Award. For Levels 4 and 5, officers are awarded the “Level Up Leader” Gold Award. Officers who level up will be acknowledged in District 1 News and website, and will be recognized at the District 1 Spring Conference, May 15, 2021. (Club officers must be from a paid club.)
EXPIRED SECOND ROUND Register and Train Seven Club Officers before or at TLI, January 30, 2021 The first 15 clubs that have all seven club officers trained before or at TLI, January 30, 2021, will receive a $50 TI Gift Certificate from District 1.
EXPIRED 100% Officers Trained Ribbon (Deadline August 31, 2020 & February 28, 2021) Any District 1 club that has all seven of their officers trained before or at TLI or at Club Officer Make Up Training sessions (either or both rounds) by respective deadlines, will receive a District 1 “2020-2021 100% Club Officers Trained” ribbon.
