  • Train your team for maximum success
  • Use a “Contest Manager” spreadsheet
  • Prepare a contest budget
  • Publicize your contest for maximum attendance
  • Learn the proven contest formats

JUDGE’S TRAINING
(1:00 P.M. – 4:00 P.M)

Who should attend:

  • Area and Division Directors
  • Contestants
  • Club officers
  • Anyone interested in judging a speech contest

Training to include:

  • Rules for the Table Topics and Humorous Speech Contests in Fall 2017
  • Importance of the contest judging process
  • How to be a Chief Judge
  • How to be an effective judge
  • How to use the judging criteria for each contest
  • How to use the judge’s guide & ballot
  • Mock contest and practice judge
